This and last week we have been summer pruning block 2. This block is a little bit different from the others as Chris is experimenting with the old tree, and hence a different approach compared to the other block of older trees.
These trees produce more water shoots around where the old tree was cut off (as seen in the 2nd gallery of photos). This is so the tree focuses on the trained branches and the fruit on the trees.
The first gallery of photos shows some of the promising sizes of the fruit on our trees. Again this year we are 2-3 weeks behind and looking at harvesting around mid May,
