How do we eat your Persimmons?

We have been getting a few questions about how you can eat our Persimmons.
We grow two varieties, Jiro and Fuyu. These varieties are the non-astringent type - ones you can eat hard and crunchy! They are just as delicious as the astringent varieties but these ones you get to enjoy as soon as you purchase them! No need to wait until they are soft and gooey.
The astringent varieties which we do not grow have to fully ripen before being able to eat. If eaten before they are fully ripe, they are not sweet and leave a dry sensation in your mouth which we can assure you is not pleasant! (trust us we've all tried one not fully ripe!).
Our favourite way to eat our persimmons is eating them by themselves or by cutting them up and eating them with cheese and biscuits. It is a very very yummy combo!
