Grafting root stock trees

Gold Dragon Persimmons

Today we have grafted some of the root stock that we have planted. We have used Jiro or Fuyu sticks with buds on them that we pruned earlier this year. These pruning's are wrapped in moist newspaper and then wrapped in glad wrap and put in the fridge until we are ready to graft. This is to keep the pruning dormant so that the buds don't burst before they are grafted. In 3 or so weeks we will find out if we have done a good enough job. We are only beginners so no judging!!!!
