Once we have put the netting on, we have to go through and fix any holes we can see. Especially like this one where the hole is on the pole. If we don't fix these, they are likely to rip more and create a bigger hole that birds are likely to fly through and get to the persimmons. So are also along the sides that may have ripped when we were applying the netting. Some are caused from the ageing of the netting. Some parts of the older netting get weak and can rip very easily.
